It’s the spirituality, stupid

According to the well known phrase from Bill Clinton’s 1992 campaign, the economy determines the outcome of elections because it lies at the core of most people’s preoccupations.

At the time this might have sounded like a convincing piece of street wisdom.

images japanse girl and dogAs of late, however, it is has become glaringly obvious to anyone not blind and deaf or in complete denial that the economy, and more generally the dominant materialist way of life, is destroying nature, society and itself.

And it is equally obvious that political leaders, no matter of what camp, are no longer even seriously pretending to have solutions to the deepening global crisis. They and the mighty rich folks who manipulate them are just after more quick money and vain glory regardless of collateral damages of their actions.

If your vision of reality is restricted to the tangible and material, the outlook for us humans looks pretty depressing.

But you can adopt a completely different vision of reality. You can open up to the subtle side of existence. Many observations suggest reality is vastly bigger and more subtle than the dominant culture would have us believe. This is outlined in some detail in my book The Subtle Dance.

Once you become aware of the subtle side of existence and begin to pay attention to the inner silent voice deep in yourself, you’re on your way to fundamentally change every aspect of your life.

You enter spirituality.

Not that you’re about to spend half your day sitting in a yoga posture trying to think of nothing except the universe. But you are about to realise the pertinence and strength of what the inner voice, synchronistic messages and subtle signs keep suggesting.

This realisation is purely personal and experiential. Books, articles, videos, etc. can help, but at the end of the day you have to go on your own journey. As you gain confidence in the flow of subtle guidance received from the silent “Presence” constantly within you, your relationship with Presence and everything in life becomes a fascinating dance. You may still encounter fear and anxiety, but you are no longer totally in their grip. Panic recedes and your freedom grows.

As this evolution progresses, you wonder how you could have been so mesmerised by the contortions of the materialists running the show on the planet. You realise that they must be in the grip of misguided occult entities. But that doesn’t plunge you in despair because you have learned to trust Presence, and know the strength from aligning with total universal love.

It’s natural spirituality for you.

Love,

Leo

Spirituality arises from Presence, not belief in dogmas

Spirituality is simple and pragmatic. Deep down we feel a silent little voice, like a presence. As we experience life we realise that Presence is always around, vigilant and friendly.

You can probably recall the incident when Presence whispered a fairly clear piece of advice, which you chose to follow or ignore. The message came to you through someone, from a sentence you read or heard, or through some unexpected event. Now, months or years later, either you’re glad to have followed the advice, or you know for sure that having ignored it brought you some hard lesson. That is how intuitive guidance by Presence works.

Ancient societies probably knew the power of Presence. But the subtle side of life has been high-jacked by organised religions. Clerical elites invented stories about the invisible, created rituals and imposed rules. Most ordinary men and women lost the ability to recognise subtle messages and follow Presence’s benevolent guidance. Instead, they accepted orders from the religious Authority. Today most people are impressed by materialist Authority who uses Science as a quasi religion.

Authority has led mankind into such a mess that we have nothing to loose by freeing ourselves from its imposed rules and injunctions. We don’t need to “believe” in any particular story or model. We can choose to trust Presence, become familiar with the way it guides us, and learn how to respond to its suggestions.

Spirituality is a subtle dance. Fluid, light, warm, sensuous, and full of surprises. It’s about being free of Authority and of ego’s whims and whining. It’s about sensing that reality is vastly larger than what we see. It’s about deciding to nurture joy, gratitude and non judgement. It’s about regarding every creature – human, animal, vegetal, mineral or other – as neither below or above us. It’s about experiencing the discreet power of thought on events and material things, provided thoughts are aligned with our life mission. Aligned with harmony, integrity and love.

Fear not, feel free and dance with Presence.

Love,

Leo

Peeling off the layers of mind control

There are two little voices in each of us.

C19%2019%20A3One is superficial, impatient, alternatively arrogant or wimpish. It’s the ego. The other is calm and wise. It’s our deep self.

The ego constantly jumps from one emotion or desire or fear to another. It keeps comparing and judging. Why has she got more than me? If I flatter him, it might help me. Me, me, little me, so frightened in this terrible world. Life is so harsh, isn’t it?

Where do all these thoughts of separation, comparison and fear come from?

From society. Starting with our parents, carers and teachers. They put thoughts, beliefs and judgements in our minds. And not just in our minds. In our bodies too. When we cringed as children because we were told off with a degree of intimidation, our muscles, nerves and fibres tensed up, and now our cells have kept the memory of that intimidation.

Education, even well intended, instils limiting beliefs and unconscious memories in our total mind/body system. And these feed our ego. Our ego can’t see beyond the apparent reality of this physical world. It can only see itself as a poor powerless little creature who has to fight and wriggle to survive. Others are all potential threats. Hence the ego is either aggressive or manipulative, or both. No choice. It’s the hard struggle for life.

When the ego controls you, you can’t hear the other little voice, and you are too distracted to pay attention to what your deep self is trying to tell you. And your vital energy drops. Because positive vital energy only comes through the deep self who is eternal and connected to Source.

The ego receives its impulses from society. Through people around, through the media, education, institutions. And society is hierarchical. Everyone up the hierarchical ladder receives his own impulses, feeding his own ego. It’s a big mind control game from top to bottom.

But who or what pulls the strings?

We can all see that people in top positions like bankers, CEO’s, high ranking officials, media stars, religious leaders and the like have their own agenda of power and control. Psychologists have established that the proportion of psychopaths – i.e., people with no empathy at all for anybody or anything – is far larger amongst the elite than in the wider population. But when we observe these powerful characters, they don’t necessarily look very free themselves. If fact they often look like puppets. As if they believed their own propaganda and were totally manipulated.

This is not new. Kings and tyrants of olden days did all they could to control the minds of their subjects and yet appeared pretty lost and confused themselves. It’s as if mankind from top to bottom had always been in the grip of a mindset bent on fear and aggression.

But nowadays the mindset has become so extreme in its consequences that it produces a massive onslaught on the planet: on soils, forests, animals, rivers, oceans, atmosphere and even space.

Who or what is behind such madness?

Looking at it from a conventional rationalist point of view there is simply no explanation, it is totally incomprehensible.

But when you open up to the subtle side of existence and consider Source, the field of consciousness and vital energy and the possibility of entities not aligned with Source and harmonious energy, you may come to a possible model of understanding.

Everything in “this world” is a manifestation of vital energy coming from Source. All creatures connected to Source receive their vital energy to carry out their mission in this life.

But disconnected entities – which various traditions might call demons, Satan, evil spirits, or whatever – need to find their energy from other creatures, like humans. Hence the idea that dark entities exercise mind control over mankind, through a pyramidal hierarchy, in order to harvest human energy.

Some psychics have come up with the notion of “loosh”, which is the not very harmonious form of energy generated by humans through emotions, impulses, crude sexual desires, intellectual arrogance and so forth. Dark entities love feeding on “loosh”. Therefore the messier the situation of mankind the better for them.

We have no means to definitely prove the validity of this model, but the fact is that it accounts rather neatly for a lot of what we see happening in the world.

Don’t let it frighten you, though. The remedy for escaping mind control is to establish and maintain connection with Source through intuitive guidance by your deep self.

Fear not, trust your invisible friend.

Love,

Leo

Two fingers to the dark forces and love for everyone else

Street wise metaphysics is essential these days.

It helps you focus on the big picture and avoid being manipulated and over-impressed by the continuous stream of distorted news.

We know little for sure about reality, except that it is far more subtle than what we are told by mainstream education, institutions and media. The later are actively implanting rigid limiting ideas into our minds. They do it to exercise full control over us. They want us to be subservient and compliant. Ultimately they want us to be just robotic slaves.

It is clear that the system is entirely at the service of a ruling elite. And it looks as if many people in the elite are themselves manipulated. Just look at them: they are not healthy and you can see fear behind their mask of arrogance. In fact most visible characters in the ruling elite are mere puppets.

Who pulls the strings?

There are various theories circulating about this. For my part the details matter less than the core idea of dark forces (something like nefarious cosmic software) intervening from the invisible realm.

You don’t believe in the “invisible realm”?

Well, do a bit of research and, more importantly, open your mind, including your intuition, and observe events around you and within you. You’re bound to realise that there is vastly more than what we see, than the narrow material so-called reality.

For millennia the conversation regarding the invisible realm has been thoroughly controlled by religion. Religion, whatever the make – Judeo-Christian, Muslim, …- doesn’t want people like you and I to experience connection with the universe, the Source, higher self, whatever name is given to the infinite consciousness underpinning all there is. Religion wants people like you and I to believe in a story, a string of dogmas and rules.

Religious teachings emphasise darkness, sin, suffering and fear. You were born a sinner. You need to repent, avoid temptation and work for salvation. Don’t do this, don’t do that. Follow  the commandments, or else…

That is all bullshit.

There is only one guide to follow: love. Universal, non judgmental, warm, kind, friendly, humorous, creative, seeking harmony and beauty. Love is the hallmark of universal infinite consciousness, of which you and I, and everything else, including animals, stones and stars are manifestations.

But to make things interesting and a bit challenging, there is also the possibility of non love. Darkness, ego, meanness, suffering, fear.

The present global crisis on planet earth – which is small beer in the big scheme of things, but quite a drama for us down here now – is driven by non love. I.e. by a string of negative waves of consciousness. You can call them demonic, satanic, ghouls, …whatever. They are dark forces in the system and they manifest themselves through their grip on peoples’ minds. Those who are deeply affected are the psychopathic puppets in the ruling elite. But all of us have to contend with some degree of mind infestation by these nefarious software viruses. Which affects our thoughts, our behaviour, our relationships and our health.

Once we are well aware of this, half the battle is won. To win the other half, we need wisdom and courage. The courage to be free of mind control. The courage to stay aligned with and totally trusting in unconditional love, whatever the circumstances.

Techniques like meditation and “ho’ponopono” are very helpful. But ultimately each of us has to develop his choreography with the universe. Without trying to find refuge within a congregation or under the protection of some master, healer or guru. Or without trying to find technical solutions through drugs or gadgets.

Reality is not a linear sequence of determined events. It’s an ever present cloud of potentialities. Potentialities will turn into perceived events according to your choices: choices either for trust and expansion and love, or for fear, contraction and guilt.

This is not about adopting a vague philosophical standpoint, it’s about being focused on here and now and consciously choosing several times a day, day in, day out. It’s practical and streetwise. It goes through your body as much as through your mind. It’s more intuitive than intellectual.

Try it. It’ll serve you well in 2014, and later.

Fear not, dream well.

Love,

The practical side of connecting to Source

When you feel the heat of bills to pay, tensions at work, worries about kids, etc., the idea of connecting to Source may sound like a fairy tale. Couldn’t possibly have anything to do with “real life”, could it?

And yet, yes, it has precisely everything to do with real life, as opposed to the 3D show with special effects our mind experiences as real life when it is totally disconnected from Source and totally impressed by society’s b…s….

In fact, connecting to Source implies a very strong sense of here and now, of physical presence, of close attention to everything going on around. A close attention without (too much) fear, without (too many) prejudgments, but with (a great deal of) sharpened curiosity and (almost) complete open mindedness.

How do you get into that state?

This you have to find out by yourself. It’s a personal journey. But at the same time you will notice that more and more folks are embarking on that sort of journey. Something subtle, yet powerful, is happening at the collective level.

All websites and books devoted to alternative news and alternative thinking keep telling us that the system is reaching the end the road. Some speak of collapse, others of the end of a cycle, or change of era, or emerging paradigm… Whatever the words, something is the air.

So you are not alone. But the connection to Source you have to achieve by yourself.

Personally I still find it difficult to achieve and sustain this connection. Years of disconnection, fear, and indoctrination into society’s belief system have created a kind of mental rigidity which is not so easy to shake off.

And the rigidity is not just in the conscious mind. It is also physical, deep in cellular memory, deep into the unconscious neurological system. Your muscles in the neck, back, stomach or round the eyes tense up in a given situation, because memories of fear and threats are activated without your being aware of it.

The journey towards fluid and sustained connection to Source is littered with these obstacles. But you and I, and everybody else, can overcome them all. And the big vibrations of collective shift are helping us.

I have experimented with a couple of techniques and tricks which seem to help.

The first, and by far the most important, is to think of Source as the ultimate friend. French writer and philosopher George Barbarin used the words Invisible Partner or simply the Friend (l’Ami).

Whatever happens, l’Ami is always close, always on your side. He keeps sending you messages, he puts signposts along your path, and warms your heart at the slightest manifestation of beauty, fun or tenderness. When you nurture the sense of His permanent presence, life seems to become significantly lighter.

Then there is Ho’oponopono, the extraordinary Hawaiian purification mantra: “I’m sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you, I love you”. This works wonders in situations where relationships with other people (or animals, things, or events) threaten to be problematic.

By silently saying these words of love, gratitude and forgiveness, your clear the information connections between others and you; you erase unfounded judgments, prejudices and baseless fears. You address the words to Source in relation to people or things, and you soon notice that the people or things concerned seem less troublesome.

This, a materialist might say, is just the effect of a changed mindset. Fine; it works. Anyway, our only reality is what our mind perceives. Metaphysicians (and many physicists) would add that our mind contributes to creating rather than just perceiving reality.

Finally a little trick. I often try to imagine the non solidity of what I see around me. It’s all empty space, with subtle energy flowing to create the impression of material stuff. If I move forward, I will just walk through all these things, like a ghost crosses a brick wall, won’t I ?

You may laugh, but just try it. Often, using this trick during a walk facilitates deep relaxation, to the point of causing long flashes of clear vision, a true blessing for a short sighted person like me, and a manifest indication that something significant is happening in the body/mind system.

Next time you feel under severe stress at work, think of l’Ami, remember that the apparent solidity of things around is only a perception, and when your difficult boss turns up, say a quick but sincere Ho’oponopono ““I’m sorry, Please forgive me, Thank you, I love you”.

If it helps (as I’m convinced it will), let your friends know.

Fear not, and bless whoever invented Ho’ponopono.

Love,

Leo

Only one certainty

No matter how old and experienced we are, what we know amounts to very little. Very little verging on insignificance.

In contrast, existence around us and within us is vast and unknown. And all we usually manage to grasp from it are tiny bits, unrelated and confusing.

pearls-of-wisdom-i-jai-johnson1Only one thing can be regarded as certain, or at least worth believing in: that infinite consciousness and love permeate all there is.

Let’s call this the Source. The Source is the only certainty, the only belief worth having.

The rest, all the rest, is uncertain.

Every form of “knowledge”, including mainstream science and alternative knowledge, consists in fragmented theories, weak assumptions, and tentative practices.

Humanity’s spectacular failure to build a society in harmony with itself and the rest of nature shows that its “advanced knowledge” doesn’t come up to scratch when dealing with reality.

This should come as no surprise; the human intellect is limited and works one step at the time, whereas reality is vast, subtle and continuous. How could we ever grasp reality with our intellect alone.

But our mind can operate in another mode: intuition.

In its ultimate form, intuition is connection to Source.

Between Source and us a multiple reality unfolds, much of it invisible and not directly accessible to our five senses. What we see in the visible world are manifestations of goings on in deeper realms. We may speculate on them through metaphysics, but in the end nothing is sure for the intellect.

However, if we leave the intellect aside and open up our intuitive channel, we can receive guidance from Source. For this to work out, we have to be prepared to trust Source rather than our reasoning capacity and the knowledge acquired from others.

Receiving and accepting guidance from Source is diametrically opposed to the materialist vision. It is difficult to explain, let alone justify with ordinary language.

Exchanging with others on guidance received from Source involves a form of communication not based on linear, step by step reasoning. It requires both emitter and receiver to have full confidence in their intuitive antennas.

When intuition is allowed to develop and flourish, the dogmatic charades of today’s mainstream culture are exposed as instruments of engineered delusion.

This doesn’t mean that every theory or model of official knowledge is to be dismissed as nonsense. It means that knowledge should be used with prudence and modesty as a set of tools for limited purposes, and not be regarded as absolute dogma to support hubris and an all out assault on nature.

But, as is all too evident, official knowledge is on a pedestal in today’s society, like religion was in the old days. And it is used to carry out a systematic attack on everything natural, be it in agriculture, child birth and rearing, healing, nutrition…etc, etc.

It is also abundantly clear that official knowledge, tied to the materialist vision, is completely incapable of generating coherent solutions to the cocktail of issues facing humankind. In fact it keeps contributing to making the problems worse.

When considering this apparently desperate situation, we do well to remember that we know next to nothing. Any extrapolation into the future isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. Any idea that we are properly informed about our true situation is pure illusion.

Salvation will not come from new technologies and breakthroughs in official science, or from some new political system. It will come, in fact it is already coming through a complete change of paradigm in the minds and hearts, an emergence of intuition, enabling connection with Source.

This, as far as I am concerned, is the only certainty.

Not revealed in some sacred manuscript or recent apparition, but emerged from the depth within, reconciled with years of every day observations and found remarkably consistent with ancient teachings.

Fear not, drink up and connect to Source.

Love,

Leo

Making choices at every second

Awareness, which was discussed at some length in the last post, opens up the possibility of freedom.

thucydides_by_photoamateur77-d3gsvyqBut that possibility has to be realised through a continuous, unending series of choices. It starts as soon as you wake up in the morning.

You can choose to cringe and moan because you think you’ve slept badly and it’s going to be an awful day, or you can choose to smile, be grateful for life and look forward to new experiences.

It is entirely your choice.

Even though your temperament, personality, electro-chemical balance and stomach acidity will tend to push you towards one choice rather than the other. But these things all pertain to the ephemeral, shallow side of who you are. In other words to the mortal character you play in the 3D video of your present life. Psychologists, psychiatrists, doctors make a big deal of these things, but in the end, they have nothing to do with the real you. With the one that is eternal, infinite, connected to Source.

If you maintain a strong awareness of your real you, whatever the immediate circumstances you momentarily find yourself in, your choices will be freer, will be less influenced by emotions, pain, fear, dislikes and superficial desires produced by your personality and by the indoctrination to which your mind has be subjected ever since you were conceived in this present life.

A strong awareness of your real you is the prerequisite for freedom.

Without awareness, your mind is a puppet constantly dragged and shaken, its strings pulled by countless manipulators, starting with your own parents, educators, peers, teachers, colleagues, actors in films and adverts, politicians pontificating on the TV screen, media stars deploying their inflated egos.

If you are sufficiently aware, none of their tricks will impress you. But you will not judge them either, because they may be sincerely trying to help you in the direction of what they think is best for you, without realising that they are themselves, not their real selves, but mere shadows of a dark cloud of narrow beliefs and prejudices.

Freedom is an experience that has to be re-enacted every second of everyday of your life.

It doesn’t just concern the big issues, but also the apparently minor events which unaware people would hardly even notice. Like a little spider walking on the side of your bath. Are you going to squash the poor thing and throw its body in the dustbin without a second thought, or are you going to let it walk on your hand and take it outside where it can survive for a while. Unimportant?

Once you are aware and sufficiently connected to feel in unison with other creatures, nothing is unimportant, and everything contains infinite beauty.

The secret to happiness is freedom

And the secret to freedom is courage

Thucydides, 5th century BC (on picture above)

What is awareness and what are its consequences?

Awareness is a popular notion among the alternative fringes.

But awareness of what?

Of the hidden forces behind the workings of global society, with their obvious elements of conspiracy? – yeees, this is a significant part of awareness, but probably not the most important.

The key part concerns our metaphysical vision of existence.

Which is awareness that the visible world is only a limited layer of existence, that the non visible interacts in subtle ways with the visible, that nothing in “all there is” exists as  separate from the “rest”, that nothing happens just by chance, without meaning or purpose.

Once you become very conscious – not just intellectually, but also physically, emotionally, spiritually – that the visible and invisible realms are inseparable and constantly interacting, your relationships with people, creatures and events begin to take a new dimension.

How does one reach such awareness?

There are probably as many routes to awareness as there are individuals.

As far as I am concerned, the journey started from a mainly materialist perspective. Such was the dominant thinking mode of my baby boomer’s youth marked by an almost unreserved belief in progress through science.

There was also, of course, organised religion.

Mainstream speech pretended that the two concerned totally different things and that there was no point in trying to reconcile them. Partitioning of reality into completely separate domains was (and still is) one of the principal hallmarks of Western thinking.

But today new facts are laid before us to enlarge our thinking, if we are prepared to pay attention.

On the one hand it is now pretty clear that the basic functioning of society is predatory and destructive, that it has been so for a long time, and that the process is approaching a climax with unprecedented consequences. A fundamental change of mentality and vision has become a matter of collective survival.

On the other hand the development of fundamental physics shows that science is very far from truly understanding universal reality whilst at the same time strongly suggesting that we live in a vacuum filled with energy and information. Matter is only a level of perception of flows of energy organised by information.

Furthermore, theories and models of fundamental physics play with the ideas that time might be reversible, or might only be a perception by an observer, that it is possible for an elementary particle to be present simultaneously in two different spots in the universe, and that there might be more than one universe, perhaps even an infinity of universes.

In short, it is becoming quite plain that our reasoning intellect, with our level of logic, is simply unable to grasp the infinite, eternal reality, and that all it can do is to develop fairly  simplistic models which have limited usefulness, let alone validity, and should in any case be used with the greatest humility.

Whilst such metaphysical consequences of advanced science are now being explored more thoroughly than in the days of blind narrow scientism, many are also revisiting the teachings, metaphors and symbols of ancient traditions, and experiencing the effectiveness of various practices in line with a holistic, non materialist, “energy” based approach of reality.

In fact, we are opening up again to the power of intuition, an essential natural faculty that had been atrophied in most us by the materialist belief system which Western society had imposed on almost everybody.

It is remarkable and quite exciting to note the deep convergence between advanced science, ancient traditions and contemporary non conventional practices.

That said, however, most of the time we are still stuck in our perception of reality experienced as “this” visible world, and subject to its irritating material and psychological constraints and limitations. Our consciousness appears trapped in what modern metaphysicians call “low vibration levels”.

Many people awakening to consciousness wish to free themselves from the enslavement of “low vibrations”. They try to achieve this through meditation, prayer, trance, shamanic practices or drugs. Often disappointment awaits them, and sometimes even depression.

The lesson, I believe, is that whilst life “down here” is only an experience our eternal higher self is going through, we can’t opt out of the experience. We have to go all the way to its natural end and extract the full learning it is meant to give us.

At this point, awareness has to broaden further, to encompass acceptance and trust and distance itself from ego and fear.

This is no intellectual exercise. It is a personal experience. It involves every cell in the body, every conscious thought in the mind, every emotion, desire, fear. Everything that constitutes you or me, which no science or philosophy can fully define and specify, is involved in experiencing enlarged consciousness.

In this a key notion to bear in mind is that of the continuum of existence. There are no absolute boundaries, neither in space, nor time, nor in any other conceivable dimension. Existence is oneness, infinite interactions, yet with perceptions of separate identities. It’s incomprehensible, beyond our logic. All we can do is travel as far as our logic goes, reach the brink, peer down and then jump. Trust the unknown, as the little inner voice of our intuition tells us to.

Those who dare go to the brink beyond which ordinary logic is no longer any use enter a new dance with life. The dance with the invisible Partner.

This is not faith as in organised religion where dogmas are downloaded into your mind and you are meant to sheepishly follow. This is natural connection with the invisible. The stuff of genuine mystics, shamans, healers. And these may be very ordinary people, unpretentious, definitely unpretentious.

And now a last challenging bit: evil.

Whilst the genuinely awakened people do their utmost to align their whole being on the universe’s absolute love, non judgment, compassion and harmony, it looks pretty clear that some partly aware characters opt for a “deal with the devil”. And that might be what lies behind the almost incomprehensible harshness and grotesque arrogance of today’s ruling world elite.

But this shouldn’t unduly worry the really aware. At Source, there is only pure undiluted love.

Can we be sure of that? Yes, but only once intuition has been allowed to reach a sufficient level, for this is beyond the reach of the reasoning intellect on its own.

To conclude, awareness is more than a non materialist world vision, it is a mode of thinking, feeling, acting, and interacting with every aspect of life which is totally different from the ordinary mode in today’s mainstream culture.

Fear not, observe and smile.

Leo

Appreciating the continuum of existence

The idea of universal oneness in which everything interacts is widely accepted among alternative thinkers. And so is the vision that the “material” world is only a perception at our ordinary level of observation.

But the wrongly named “material” world shouldn’t be dismissed altogether: it does exist even if it is not material at all. It exists in the same way that a shadow on a wall or a video on the internet exist. They have a virtual, immaterial existence. An existence that depends on the observer.

Put another way, our “material” world it is a sort of shallow end of an infinite continuum which also comprises the invisible realm. Conventional science looks at this shallow end as if it encompassed everything, which is plainly absurd. Reality is vastly bigger than the “material” world and vastly more sophisticated and subtle than the various theories and models of conventional science suggest.

Esoteric knowledge explores the invisible realm. It too puts forward theories and models. For instance the concept of subtle energy called Chi in the Chinese Tao tradition, Ki in the Japanese tradition and Ether in European esoteric tradition is a model. It is a useful model for particular purposes, such as Feng Shui or certain “energy”- based alternative therapies, in the same way that Newtonian mechanics or conventional thermodynamics are useful models for various technical applications.

Human models of representation of reality, whether pertaining to conventional science, esoteric knowledge, or metaphysics, are all fragmented and simplistic. Our reasoning intellect is simply unable to deal comprehensively with the continuum of infinite reality. Only through intuition can we can get a sense of what infinite reality must be like.

And it is of huge practical importance to develop that sense. In order to avoid being trapped in a mental cage of limiting beliefs and narrow representations. In order to stay free from mind control by unfriendly entities. Yes, observation of life strongly suggests that unfriendly entities are at work within the universal information field, and their effects are manifest in the shallow end we call the material world.

Cultivating the intuitive sense of infinite, continuous reality, in which nothing can exist on its own separated from the rest, is a key prerequisite for the liberating “let go” whereby we allow the Invisible Partner to guide us through life.

Higher guidance may at times be very down to earth and advise the use of techniques based on scientific or esoteric models, but always in a flexible way that transcends techniques, because reality is a continuum beyond the limited scope of any human technique.

Fear not, look out of the shallow end.

Love,

Leo

Are there limits to acceptance?

One of the main ideas put forward by most spirituality teachings is acceptance.

Acceptance that all is well in the universe. Acceptance of what is happening here and now. Around us, within us.

Without a deep, sincere acceptance, there cannot be peace of mind, relaxation from stress, simple joy.

So much is clear and undisputable.

On the other hand, it is equally clear and undisputable that a lot of what is going on our planet these days is profoundly shocking and “unacceptable”.

So how do we deal with that little dichotomy?

Let us first notice that the idea of complete acceptance without any qualification suits those in power. Already in the old days of dominant religion it kept the little people in total subservience.

Nowadays, teachers of personal development who only emphasise positive thinking without ever introducing lucidity about the systemic corruption of society are effectively playing in the hands of the ruling establishment.

Awakened individuals cannot just be content to sit in the lotus position all day while corporate predators, war mongers, banksters, and their pawns in government are getting away with murder.

Some kind of activism is called for.

But not the aggressive revolutionary sort. That route has been tried in the past and it failed. In fact it belongs to the same illusory realm of materialist thinking, ego and fear as the mainstream system itself.

Activism to support the change of paradigm has to be smarter. It needs to be genuine, loving and open, not manipulative, not crudely conflict oriented.

I rather like the “non comply dance” suggested by David Icke (see yesterday’s post). Joyful, cheeky, convivial and resolute.

You and I will have to find our own ways of sending positive vibes to the universe and contributing to the spiritual rise on this planet.

Which brings us back to higher guidance, to the dance with our Invisible Partner.

Fear not, stay calmly alert.

Love,

Leo
